What's in a Picture?
Apparently a lot, considering the average person take about 322 of them a year.
Ever heard that old saying claiming that pictures are worth a thousand words?
Well, they really are. Pictures can express emotions in a way that far surpasses words alone. They can show us fear, pride, joy, and sadness. They can take us up to the highest heights or down to the deepest depths. Pictures can be used to bring people to tears or to have them laughing out loud.
Pictures can be a time capsule that gives us a small glimpse into the past. They can show us where we can from and who we came from. They mark important milestones in our lives that we want to cherish and to show the world.
Pictures can be of the simplest things, like a flower in a field on a sunny summer day. However, they can also be very heart- wrenching and powerful like photos of war zones and crises. They can show us what's really going on even if we live a world away from the danger. They have always been able to make us sympathize with someone or feel strong with others around us. Photos are a way of life, just like driving and walking. I have a strong feeling that they aren't going anywhere for the time being!
